- Impact Allies has a wide breadth of subject matter experts, instructional designers, technical artists, developers and AI integrators to build or modernize curriculum.
- Below are linked examples to a course textbook and digital simulation resources built for LASER-TEC, the NSF Center for Laser and Fiber Optics Education headquartered at Indian River State College in Florida. To increase the awareness and understanding of lasers, optics, photonics, and fiber optics (LOPFO) technologies amongst community college and K-12 educators and students, IA delivered:
-
Modernized and Expanded LASER-TEC’s National LOPFO Curriculum Ecosystem
Updated, developed, vetted, and integrated core educational resources for NSF’s LASER-TEC Center (#2000266), bringing together SMEs, curriculum developers, AI/computing experts, and project managers to rebuild the Fundamentals of Light and Lasers textbook, create new instructional modules, ensure full OER compliance, conduct peer/industry reviews, and deploy a modern, Articulate-based HTML learning platform with repository partnerships (Americom, SPIE) for national access, interoperability, and usage analytics.
-
Designed and Delivered an Entire Suite of Interactive Digital Simulation Packages
Redeveloped 21 simulation widgets into six rigorous, standards-aligned learning packages—each mapped to learning objectives and textbook chapters—and embedded them directly within the textbook and online platform, creating an engaging, accessible, and cohesive digital learning environment for community college and K–12 educators and students.
- IA has also built courseware in nuclear, SCADA, critical care nursing, and cybersecurity for other IHEs.
